We want every visit to be an enjoyable one. We promise to make every effort to accommodate special requests and want you to be completely satisfied with each and every purchase you make. We look forward to serving you and encourage you to ask questions or voice concerns you may have regarding our products and services.

If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, it can be exchanged or returned for credit:

  • Please Contact Us prior to returning any merchandise. We will e-mail you the proper shipping instructions.
  • Your request for a refund must be made within 7 days of the time you receive the merchandise. In your e-mail, please give us the reason for your request.
  • If you like to make an exchange, please explain in your e-mail what you are returning and what you would like to receive instead.

Delivery time of the products depends on your choice. Most products are shipped out via UPS, and the shipping time goes from the day the products leave our office. Usually, delivery time is estimated to six-eight days. Some products are shipped from Scandinavia, and need some more time. This is notified on each product.

Security and Privacy

Security involves making sure that any sensitive information you provide is handled in a safe and secure way.

NorHouse has taken steps to ensure that your credit card or other sensitive information is never sent unprotected over the Internet. Through the use of a security protocol known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), we encrypt your order information prior to transmission over the Internet so it cannot be read in transit. This works to keep your Internet transactions private and secure. The SSL technology is one of the safest and most widely used encryption technologies available on the Internet today. Your name, address and credit card information, or anything else about your order, cannot be read by anyone else as the information travels from your computer to ours.

Some of the information you provide will be automatically added to the "Checkout" process so you won't need to enter it again. We will, however, ask you to enter your credit card number each time you place an order since it is used only to process your order. We believe this gives you the most secure shopping environment.

While most people have discovered that it is very safe to use a credit card for Internet purchases, if you are still not convinced, you may fax your credit card information to +1 724 727 2876. Please include an e-mail address or phone number so we can contact you if we have any questions.

Privacy refers to information we gather about you and the use we make of it in the course of doing business.

All of the transactions you initiate with NorHouse are confidential. Registering as a shopper is just a convenience to making shopping easier for you. We will not sell your personal information or e-mail address or give it to organizations that are not associated with NorHouse. The information gathered as part of a survey or on-line order may be used to improve our products and services.

 

Shipping

Most products on the NorHouse site will be shipped out from our facility in Maryland, mostly by USPS, but UPS is available if you prefer that. Other ways of transport will be considered for perishable products. These are also shipped from our Maryland facilities. We do not ship orders to addresses outside of the United States.

Some products will be shipped from Norway from the distributor by Norway Post to the U.S. and then forwarded by the United States Postal Services (USPS) to the address you specified. You will not have to make arrangements for your purchase to clear Customs. While the possibility is small that custom duty will be charged on items imported for private use, if it does happen, you will be asked to pay this charge at your local post office.

The cost to ship each product is automatically calculated when you have placed an order and chosen shipping method.

Free shipping promotions will only be honored within the United States.

The Checkout page will give you a total price in US Dollars for all of your purchases, including shipping.

Prices, Currency, Duty and Credit Cards

The prices on all products on the NorHouse site are shown in dollars. When you place an order, the "Checkout" page will give you a total for all of your purchases, including shipping.

 

Taxes and Duty

Some of the products on the NorHouse site are shipped from Scandinavia. The shops of NorHouse will not charge value-added tax on products purchased by people who live outside Scandinavia. It is possible, however, that value-added tax and/or duty may be charged by the country to which the product is sent, based on the local regulations.

Although all merchandise that enters the United States by mail is subject to duty, the Custom Service normally waives duty on goods valued less than $200.00, if you purchased the goods for your own use. This waiver does not apply if the addressee receives more than $200.00 worth of goods from overseas in a single day.

Return Policy

Food items:

You must notify Norhouse within 2 days of receiving your order, with a detailed explanation as to why a refund or return is requested, if you have any complaints about the shipment, product or delivery of food items, to be eligible for a return or refund. No exceptions will be accepted. Send an email to customerservice@norhouse.com

Non-food items:

You must notify Norhouse within 7 days of receiving your order, if you have any complaints about the shipment, product or delivery of non-food items.

A request for a return or refund must be accompanied by a detailed explanation as to why a refund or return is requested, to be eligible for a return or refund.
Unless the request for a return or refund is based on shipment of wrong product or wrong size by the shop, shipping cost will be charged.
