Toro Waffle Mix
Waffles in the stack on the Waffle Day
Did you know that we have eaten waffles in Norway for over 700 years? Ever since the 19th century, we have eaten waffles here and our Swedish neighbors have a lot of traditions dating back to the late 1500's. So it's only in its place that the waffle has got its very own anniversary on the 25th of March. Why not celebrate making waffles in the stack on the Waffle Day? Few things taste better than waffles topped with cream and jams and maybe some fresh berries? Surprise friends and family with waffles in the stack on the Waffle Day, it is guaranteed to be well received. Vafler is the Norwegian food tradition and food culture at its best!
1. Stir together water and melted butter or liquid margarine. Mix with the bag's contents and whisk to a smooth and smooth touch.
2. Cook in well-heated waffle iron, be patient and do not check if the waffle is done along the way, then it can split. Put the finished waffles on the grid.
3. Server with cream and jams, or your favorite spread.

This mix makes the perfect Norwegian Waffle. Each bag makes about 6-8 waffles depending on how thin you choose to make them. They are amazing served right off the iron but are just as good cold too. Ithey are just like bringing in Norway, exact same mix, it's like going back every time. I only wish they sould the family size bags for this price, as they make about 30+ per bag.
The easiest, most delicious Norwegian-style waffles!

Just got back from Norway and could only bring a few of these bags of mix with us due to the weight! So delicious and impossible to mess up the recipe, this coming from a self-professed "worst cook ever!" We are so glad we can buy these online...much cheaper than flying back to Norway to buy! And my family doesn't have to worry about my cooking skills! I highly recommend a heart-shaped waffle iron to do it with a true Norwegian touch though! Enjoy!!!
